At the time of the original build (early 07'), the IS-F motor wasn't out yet..

Plus, even with the recent conversion to their current V-8,
the IS-F motor (model 2UR-GSE) is a mucho expensive design & costly upgrade.

The IS-F surely doesn't have anywhere close to the power of the motor they have now, and they would have run into all the same technical problems they were having with the 2GR-FSE.
