Any rubbing with a loaded IS on lowered springs?
Someone mentioned that I should lower my car. I've always loved the look; it's simply the cost that is prohibitive at the moment. One thing I was thinking about is how the car is with a load. I'll give an example:
On a road trip down to LA, I had a trunk full of luggage, camera tripods, sleeping bags and two passengers in the rear seat that weight about 150 and 170 pounds. On stock suspension, that dropped the car about 2-2.5 inches and pretty much had the rear tires inside the fender. I think I had about 0.5 inch gap between the bottom of the fender and the top of my rim.
If I were to lower my car an inch with F-Sport/Eibach/Tein SS, is the suspension tight enough to keep the wheel from rubbing? Has anyone tried loading their car and seeing how the suspension handles it?
Flying is out of the option, by the way.. I love my car too much and I hate driving rentals.

It all depends on what suspension setup you go with. And if you go with coils it'll depend on how low you go, and next would be the wheel and tire setup. A few factors that come into play when dealing with rubbage
