Car in storage for winter... miss her... Got some goodies on order already =)
I don't quite understand why people insist on storing their cars during the winter weather. You do know that the exterior (paint) is the part of a car that gets vigorously tested to ensure superior protection against some of natures worst weather, right? You bought the car to drive it....and no it's in storage and now you can't drive it. Maybe it's just me, but it's something i would never do.
I told myself I would never store any and who ever does is stupid before. But if you had a chance to drive a 08 Subaru Forester for winter wouldn't you?
My impreza took a beating every winter, racked up 120, 000km on it in 3 years and no paint or undercarriage is ever the same after being in the sand and salt even with a good cut, wax, and seal. Not to mention the driving through the big 5ft snow falls.
Being able to store my car gives me the ability to fully modify her.
Don't feel like putting her through -40 weather. Unless I have to. So she sleeps in a nice indoor heated place.
