On the contrary, there is a very good reason for my attitude. If you're going through that many sets of tires, rotors and brake pads in such a short period of time, you've went beyond "spirited" driving, and have crossed into the relm of reckless driving. At that point, you are putting the lives of everyone else on the road around you at risk.

without knowing when, where, why, or how, you cannot make that assessment.

besides, personal driving habits are just that, personal.

talking on a cell phone, not signaling EVERY time one changes lanes, driving with one hand on the wheel, etc is far more dangerous.

I highly doubt all the wear and tear on your vehicle took place on a track, if it did, then please accept my humblest apologies. I'm going to assume that most of your "spirited" driving took place on public roads, so I stand by my assessment.

But anyway, I guess next time I get a speeding ticket, I'll just tell the judge that it is my "personal driving habit" and the officer had no business pulling me over becuase it was personal.

I just mounted up my 3rd set at 24K miles. I drive somewhat faster than average, but I don't corner very hard or smoke my tires. I just do most of my miles on surface streets that are all very grippy / coarse concrete.

Damn ... sounds like you need to attend a high performance driving school. If you're eating up your brakes that fast, you're doing something significantly wrong.

Switched from Dunslops to Michelin Pilot MXM4's at 25k. Dunslops were driving me crazy causing a pull to the left, tramlining, and could never drive it straight. So far, the Pilot MXM4's are very very comfortable, less road noise and handles great!

I have Bridgestone and about 17,500 miles. The outside is a bit worn but plenty of tread left. I'm pretty hard on my tires too.

I'm at 35k on the OEM Dunlops but will be replacing them within this week since all 4 are pretty much bald now with Goodyear F1 Eagle. After much debate and research, I decided on the GY because they sound pretty decent with a decent price. I was gonna go with the Michelin PS2 but they're too pricey.

I have 53K on my IS, stock factory tires are still on but need replacement now.
Most of my driving is highway.
