hi,

touching up the area and laying clear bra would make it look "textured" underneath the clear bra considering the surface area looks quite rough. Also, since it is rough, the clear bra may not stick properly. I would touch it up only just to cover up the black. At least, from a distance, it would look "OK". For this, maybe you can relate when a girl tries to put makeup to cover up a huge pimple! jk!

no, this piece will not rust. you should not worry. since it looks like it is OEM painted, it should not peal either.

remember those old curb detectors hahaha. but its ugly, mostly seen on old buicks and fords, two large antenna looking things poking from the body. I dont think you would want those on your car. load up on a dozen gfx lips.

Sewell had it on special for $67 plus shipping? shipping is probably $30 or so. Since your car is Crystal White, you will have to get it painted locally, so that is another $100 or so.

Yes, the black is plastic. As suggested by some, you may want to go with the touch-up paint route, and just do your best to prevent future occurrences. My wife and I now consider curbs and cement parking blocks as mortal enemies.

You know, I'm surprised the clear bra didn't protect the paint from scaping. I must have hit the curb hard, even though I didn't hear or feel anything. But I'm with both you and your wife, I hate curbs now. Oh and I'm sure I've hit cement parking blocks before but they didn't do any damage.

I have never seen a car in a public parking place with a cover on it. I got snickers for having 1/2 my car clear-bra'd. Someone suggested I drive around in bubble wrap!
