Rear Head Rest Leather=Crap
Has anyone ever looked at how hard your rear headrest leather is??? I never noticed it because my car is garaged 90% of the time. Even with the few times a week it sees sun, the leather is hard on the back side compared the the front. I have no tint so that makes the UV exposure worse.
I noticed this because my cousins car is outside 100% of the time and his leather is beyond treatment. the back of the head rest is as hard as plastic now and the cars only 1 1/2 years old.

I doubt that its supposed to be hard leather/vinyl on the back side of the headrest and soft on the front side when its all one piece. I suspect that the rear headrest are vinyl anyways and that the sun exposure just kills it.

Yeah I condition it once every few weeks specially taking care of the areas that are constantly exposed to sun and they are still pretty darn soft even after almost a whole year of constantly being in the sun every day.

Try to apply a thick layer of leather conditioner on the headrests and let it absorb, wipe off the extra the next day or so and it'll soften the leather. I did that to all my cars and it works. If it's really bad you just have to repeat it several times.
