$1k under invoice on our IS350. Believe me, I worked for it... stayed about 4 hours in the dealership. It was our 2nd purchased car there too. Also helped that we didn't want NAV (because most people would want NAV), and we found the perfect car and configuration.

Default To the Bay Area Folks

Lexus of Pleasanton and Fremont will easily give you 1250 under invoice for IS250.

That's a first....under invoice on a 350, without working for Toyota.

Had to be very hard work, nice timing, a willing dealer, and good luck. Do you have any secrets or techniques to share with us?

well i think several factors were in our favor. first, it was saturday night and they all wanted to close and go home. second, i actually negotiated on the price without even seeing the actual car. we had already test drove a IS250 with NAV, and this car that we (the wife and i) wanted was the exact same except IS350 w/o NAV. so we sat in front of their inventory computer and found the car in their other dealership from the same owner. obviously i had done my research and knew all the numbers in my head. so i said i wanted this price or else i'm walking out. the salesman was pretty cool about it and asked the manager. when they said yes, i wanted to go even lower and ask for $2k under invoice! but of course they weren't crazy enough to do that. so i suppose the only bad thing was that we had to wait for the car to be driven from that dealer to ours, putting mileage on our new car (it wasn't that far, like 15 miles). so when the car arrived, it turned out that we had a few "extra" things that the dealer didn't know about like the spoiler and XM radio. things that could've made a difference during our price negotiation, according to the salesman. i could tell the manager was pissed. haha!

They didn't charge you more for the spoiler and XM? My dealer says if my car comes with it later I will have to pay for it. I had to insist he made sure it wasn't on the car. Then again, I keep dreaming about someone messing up and giving me a ML stereo by accident.

Do you fknow or certain if they will deal for that kind of price? Did you talk to them or email them? What was the price they quoted you? Let me know since I'm starting to get quotes and want to see what kind of deals are out there.

A quick question to anyone and I need a quick answer. A Black IS250 with tan interior, I was hoping for a black one, and Premium Plus Package (heated/ventilated seats, 18" w/ summer tires, HID) for $32,700 out the door a good deal? I could probably get it down to $32,500 but any less seems pushing it. I was looking for around $32,000 flat on these but this the best offer I got and it will even be delivered for free to my house since it's a long drive.

Also, if they say deliver, does that mean everything will be done over the phone and just sign in my house once the car is delivered? Thanks and any opinions or help is appreciated.

I'm working on a deal right now with IS250 with Premium and NAV for $31,000 + TTL (MSRP $37,822). This one is TP in color. I found out later that they have a SMG colored one with XM as well (MSRP $38,322). I will be offering $31,500 + TTL for that one. I should find out if the deal will work by this week. I'll keep you guys posted.

I must say that the color combo you choose also has some impact on the discount the dealer offers, I could have saved another $600 if i had settled for the tungsten, SGM, Obsidian, or starfire/tan interior.
Which dealerhip in California did you get deal from? Who was the sales rep?

Just bought a 2007 IS 350 today w/ NAV

MSRP on this vehicle is around $42k and I paid $37.5 k

This was at Scanlon Lexus in Fort Myers, FL.

They have no dealer fee, unlike most dealers. Only other dealer in Florida without dealer fee is Lexus of Orlando, however Orlando doesn't do dealer swaps.

Scanlon does, and they don't make you pay the swap fee (which is around $450)

If you are happy with a deal....it is good. Someone, somewhere will always pay less...unless you steal it!
