I was wondering, how do you guys know what the invoice price was? My g/f will be soon looking for one and I'm just trying to get an idea where to start negotiations, we'll be looking at an '07 (preferably since getting a deal should be easier) assuming she can find what she wants. Is there anywhere to find what colors were offered in for '07 as well? The Lexus site only has 2008 as of now. Thanks.

For invoice prices go to: kbb.com (Kelly Blue Book Site) and click on "New Car Pricing"
I believe there were no color changes between the 07 and 08 model years, so they should all be the same.

Ive been reading in this thread and I am getting a bit confused. I see people posting their "OTD" is it fair to assume these are OTD before tax, license, and registration fees?
Im just confused because when I think OTD I am thinking fees are already included.

"OTD" means out the door which should be total cost inclusive of TTL (tax, title, license, registration, etc.).
OTD is not a the best basis for comparison since TTL is different depending on where you live. It muddies up the comparison unless you live in the same state and perhaps even city as the other person. (e.g. in California tax is based on where you live, not where you buy the car, in Oregon, Delaware no state tax, etc.). OTD is an important number but is harder to compare.
It's better and easier to make a comparison when people give a price relative to invoice or MSRP. Another thing that also matters is the availability of the car, don't compare discounts for the IS250 RWD to the IS350 RWD, availability is slightly different.
If optioned the same, I would expect to get more discount on an IS250 than a IS350 since Lexus dealers carry much more inventory of the IS250.

I actually was just done emailing and talking to Fremont,CA and they gave me their MSRP price and what their invoice for a white w/nav
Inovice: 33652
MSRP: 38132
That is what the email said and he told me to make an offer. I started low and was willing to work but he said i better look for a used IS250 for the price i asked.
I asked for 33,500OTD and was willing to work as long as he counter offered. I will look else where. Anyways worth the try. I know 33,500OTD is hard to get and more like 34K otd is reasonable but i wanted to start low and then get up.

Well their invoice they gave me is fair i believe. But i decided to open my offer at the invoice trying for OTD. I was willing to work with the price and get the 34K OTD because ive been told that is more possible but its the end of the month and worth the try, they didnt even counter offer with anything, they didnt seem to care much for the sale. Oh yeah i was willing to buy today day with cash if the deal was good.
