You do realize invoice doesn't include tax/tag right? which is gonna be around 3k in California. So you're basically saying you want him to lose money selling you the car, and then are surprised he's not interested in that?
34k -for the car- is probably pretty reasonable if his invoice price is correct, but he's not gonna eat sales tax (esp. CA taxes) to make a sale.
(I'm assuming the car is pretty loaded though, as that seems kinda high for invoice on a 250 otherwise)

Well their invoice they gave me is fair i believe. But i decided to open my offer at the invoice trying for OTD. I was willing to work with the price and get the 34K OTD because ive been told that is more possible but its the end of the month and worth the try, they didnt even counter offer with anything, they didnt seem to care much for the sale. Oh yeah i was willing to buy today day with cash if the deal was good.
Using the Edmunds payment calculator your sales tax (assuming the tax rate where you reside is 8.25%) is $2,776 and title/reg is $505, add those two to invoice and I really wouldnt bother to offering anything below that OTD if you want to be taken seriously.

Crown Lexus offered $36000OTD fully loaded with NAVI but they dont' have the color I want and I already have a NAVI on my GX470. If you want contact Bakari Howard at Crown Lexus if its worth to come and drive all the way here. Maybe you can bargain below 36000KOTD because I didn't bargain with them with that price.

They emailed me back and told me they could work with the numbers. Ive tried putnam but it was a few weeks ago when they didnt have many cars. When i talked with putnam and steven creeks about a IS250 without navi they wanted 32K OTD but we decided to wait for a navigation model so i was thinking add 2,500 for the navi package, thats how i got to the 34,500

Back in Jan 06 when the IS started becoming a hot item, I paid $31K OTD for my IS250 6MT Onyx/Black. It was only on the lot for 4 days. It had the spoiler, 18" rims, and preferred accessories package as options.
AT is an extra $1K and Navi is about $2.5K? So I would think that the price around $34.5K is reasonable. Though the MSRP has gone up in the last two years too... So maybe $35.5K would be a good price to go with.

2008 Is 350
Hi Folks, new to the club. Got my 2008 IS 350 2 weeks ago.
Tungsten Perl
Navi - Premium Luxury Package
X Sport Package
XM
3M Clear Bra
Tinting
18in Sports Wheels and Tires
Pretty well loaded. First negotiated straight up and Lexus did not discount the car much. Then went through COSTCO car buyers program, ended up with 6K off MSRP.
Love the car.

I think my purchase was during the sales event, but I had no idea. I just worked out a deal w/ the Internet Sales Manager over the phone before coming in, then talked the price down a little more once I got there.
MSRP was $43,886 and I paid $38,510 before trade-in. Not positive what Invoice on the car w/ my options is, but I think I did well.

08 IS250 RWD
Smokey Granite
BASE
$31,772 MSRP
What is a good/decent deal to get OTD?
08 IS250 RWD
Tungsten Pearle
BASE
Asking for $31,167
I was thinking $28000 OTD for each car. Little over $4k off.
Reasonable/Doable? Hopefully a First Time Lexus owner. Thanks.

A couple of the Lexus dealerships around my area (South Florida) are advertising a base IS250 (I think it's Manual Transmission though) for around $28k+TTL... And that's without any haggling. That's pretty good for a starting point.
