I got my Lexus IS 250 from some Lexus dealership in Kentucky, I'd have to look on the rear license plate frame. Anyways my IS 250 with the ground effects kit, exhaust, and g-spyder wheels was $38,xxx for MSRP, I went with my grandfather who's spent over $500k at that specific dealership. Long story short he walked paying $32.5k (before TTL).

What does this mean? Did you pay invoice, or did you get it for what the dealer actually paid, since invoice isn't really what the dealer paid. For example, I got mine for about $1,500 under invoice, but I know the dealer still made money on the sale. If you really got it for cost you'd probably have to have connections with the dealer.

gsrthomas is right--if you don't tell the name of the dealer, why can't you tell us the cost? Maybe that's part of the deal--they give you the car at dealer cost, as long as you don't tell anyone the actual dealer cost? If so, you can't really think that no one would press you for that cost once you said that was what you paid, right?

I'm in the market for an 08 IS350 -- MSRP is 42,780.
I've been negoiating with 2 dealerships, and so far I've gotten almost 6k off the price. Its rough, but I think i'm doing well.
If I can get that car for $36,900 -- have I done well?
I'm leasing, so its comming out to 0 down and $595ish/MO - 36/mo - 15k.
I know they are still making money...

Thoughts before I pull the trigger?

That's a heck of a deal! Almost 6k off, you're pretty much below invoice, and this is in Florida too, I assume? I would jump on it since you're getting so much off on an IS350.

yeah, ive been negotiating really hard - yes, in florida ... i think I can get more off especially if i go in saying I want to sign "tonight"
i just need to turn in my bmw lease -- however, the waiting period for the inspection is backed up like 2 weeks .... maybe ill put a deposit down to hold my numbers, and pick up the car mid - december

Finally pulled the trigger on an IS250AWD last night. I got the luxury and navigation package but the color I wanted (Obsidian/Black) was a little tough to get. I had a deposit with one dealer that said they could get it for me but they couldn't and offered me a Silver car with the same options for $250 under invoice. Instead, I went to another dealer and paid $100 over invoice (or approximately $5,500 under MSRP) to get the car I wanted and I am happy with that. All of the dealers around me were offering $500 over invoice to try to move them.
