So i am in the market for an IS250 awd fully loaded without the ML system because its a special order item and i rather want my car when i purchase it rather than wait for it. But the dealership that i am going through tells me that he can give me any car i want for $1000 over invoice. My question is, is it a good deal??? i heard of CA ppl getting for $500 over invoice but i was wondering if any WA ppl got it for lower????

Try the one in Seattle... I don't know what part of WA you are in, but they seemed cool. I was looking at the 250 with a MSRP of about $40,000 there a few weeks ago and hinted that I was not willing to go over $36,000, and they said that they can't come down that much from the MSRP, but could cut about 3,000 off the MSRP. I didn't push the issue because I wasn't looking to buy here in WA anyway, the taxes are tOoOo high, I think he said around 9% or something crazy high like that. I'll be buying mine in VA (only 3.1% taxes ) in mid Aug, that's when the prices for the IS really drop and I'll be right their to pick one up .
But with such an affluent population in the Seattle area, don’t expect to get a Lexus in that area for no less then about, like you said, $1,000 over invoice. At least not until the ‘09s hit the lots in the summer.

I guess I don't haggle enough... MSRP = $46,000 Paid = $43,000 I believe it was a total of $46,000 out the door. This was back in the first week of October. And the car I wanted was actually still on the boat! Lexus of Pleasanton.

Plus the dealer screwed up the pricing. When they pulled the pricing from the internet, it was wrong, apparently happens sometimes on employee cars. They charged me $916 less than what it was supposed to be.
They had the nerve to call me back 2 months later and ask for a check for $1000
I have a thread on here about it.
