Trade-in (2005 Mazda 3i): $10,500
Cash Down: $11,500
Financed: $15,727
Monthly payments: $281 for 72 months through the dealer.
I plan to pay this off in about 3 years or less like I did my Mazda. BTW… the September Event is bogus! It’s nothing more then low finance options.
I went to 2 different dealers trying to get a good deal. The first place (VA Beach) offered $38,950 and was told that there is no way they can let the car go any lower then that. I told them that a dealer in Cleveland offered me 37,500 for one a few weeks ago… you cant go lower? He told me, “IS 250s are flying off the lot… if someone is offering you $37 for one then I’d fly to Ohio and buy it”. That was BS! And I didn’t have to fly to Ohio to buy one… just drove an hour and a half north to Richmond, and they were more flexible and offered the deal you see above!

Paid mine OTD 37700, CA taxes 7.75%. So that's about 4-500 above invoice...i wasn't trying to low ball but being reasonable. The dealer OTD price was around $42k+.

it was a dealer trade, the dealership in MAcon wanted 2,000 off MSRP, I called the dealer in ATLANTA and ased them they price and they told me 3500 under MSRP. so I called MAcon and told them what the ATL dealr said and they went 4,000 under MSRP. NICE!!!

Purchased a new '08 IS250 with X-pkg and preferred pkg. Added in XM, tint, and all weather mats. MSRP of just over $37K. I think I paid about $33,500 if I remember right.
Traded in an '07 Mercedes C230. Paid $29,850 for it new in July '07 with an original sticker price of $37,500. Traded with 24K miles for $25K even at the Lexus dealer. I think I did alright on that deal!
Financed remainder with Bank of America. Purchased 5 year $100K warranty for $1,075 cash. I think the original MSRP on the warranty was around $1,800.

Yeah. They had all of their remaining '07 C230's priced at $29,850 in July '07 to clear them out. I jumped on it. It gets better though. I had a lot of issues with this car and complained to a Sr. Manager at MB (prior to trading the car in), and he refunded me 3 car payments (in addition to the great trade in I got on my own with Lexus).
I knew they were giving me way too much on a trade and it was far too good a deal to pass up. Needless to say my trade sat on the used lot for at least 4 months. That was the last time I saw it. I assume they finally sold it.
I had a feeling someone would second guess whether I was right with my numbers. I actually work in finance for a fortune 500, and I know I am 100% correct with respect to what I paid for my car :-)

Got an 09 black sapphire IS250 awd fully loaded for 4k under msrp, but chicago taxes shot the price back up to msrp.... I can't wait til it arrives in another week!
10.25% tax is ridiculous
