big relief, even bigger after i get the car back.

on a side note, the ES SUCKS. I feel like a 80 year old retired insurance salesman.
awesome. good to hear you got it resolved w/out any issues.

IMO the ES is a good change of pace, but to each his own.

one more thing:

pics, or it never happened.

yeah yeah, pics will come soon! The funny thing is that I got all my ideas from all YOUR pics, so i guess it's time for me to contribute.

Shocks, struts, whatever the cylindrical thing is that goes inside the spring. That thing was bad....

Good news: Strut/spring/thing was replaced. under warranty.

Bad news: even though I requested them NOT to give me a car wash, which they didn't, they still somehow gouged, TWO matching side by side S shaped scratches into my door.

ABOUT 6 INCHES IN LENGTH!!

I'm going back Monday to have them bring it to their body shop to repair it.

F$%&ing dealerships. The service advisor was really cool/apologetic about it. It's those F%$#ng monkeys they have working in the back.

look up MAGNUSON-MOSS WARRANTY ACT

It states that a car dealership cannot void a warranty because of aftermarket parts. All they can do is simply void any warrant of any parts directly related to the aftermarket parts.

I know that doesnt help you much but at least you can go to them and make sure you still have a warranty on everything else...

you seem to be jinxed when it comes to your local lexus dealership. mind if i ask that you find another one? you are from cali, so lexus dealers abound...

Sounds like they were installing the SS logo on your door.

actuley the dealership/lexus has to prove that the part you had put in made the other part break. ie like adding nos and putting a rod throgh the block that is logical but if you added nos and you had your strut fall off or break or you altnator breat that is wrong. i do not see how adding lowering springs can void any warentte on your car if lexus has apart that dues the same thing they can not void you warentee for putting aftermarket parts on your car like air filter. the olny way they can is if they give you free replacement parts.

Well i know that having a lowered car looks nice and a little different, but that is going to wreak havoc with your resell value if you ever decide to sell. Plus you get all the added conveniences of having to angle up and down every little bump. Well if your worried about spending cash do not mod your car. Keep it stock and it'll be reliable for a much longer period of time which = less money spent on problems which may occur when modifying your car. But i digress from the main point of this thread. Just pay for it and swallow the price for the modifications + problems. Get it over with and just forget that it ever happened.

I'm not shelling out more money.
Then you will have 3 worn and one new. You probably can't tell the difference, but a racing professional driver could.
