Hey CL peeps... I just got this ipod interface unit as opposed to using the VAIS Sli. This unit cost only 79.95 at Bust Buys hehe .. If people here have seen this before or have alrady installed it with good results let me know if there is a DIY. IF not then I can post a DIY and let you know how it works.
Of course I would have wanted the better VAIS unit but at 250 bucks uughh I rather save my money for other mod projects.....

 

Someone on CL already has this installed in their car. I remember he posted a thread on it.

 

I think its illmike? but yes another member does have it installed.

 

I forgot to say...I just went on the Bestbuy site and read the feedback on it. I would check it out if I were you....there are a lot of unhappy customers.

i have it...i love it. works on my nano's fine (both older and newer stumpy one)

 

thanks....I saw the reviews from bestbuys too and most were unhappy from using the FM transmitter that the unit has optional...but with the aux 3.5mm jack hook up it seems to be right on the money!

I had the Drive & Play, but switched to the USA-SPEC interface, but here's my post of how I installed when I had it. The way I installed made it nice and easy if I ever wanted to take it out, all I had to do was buy a new center speaker grill which costs about $20.00, which I did when I took it out. And by mounting the controller in the center console, you don't even notice the 3 holes that are there.
