Past deals are not that useful because of several potential differences now compared to the past:
1) Economic environment
2) Production levels
3) Model year and MSRP
4) Dealer inventory
5) Differing option packages and pricing
6) Trade-in and financing terms
7) Location
8) Add-on service and warranty packages.
I suggest you offer $500 below KBB invoice at first and see where you end up from there. Good luck.

If you want the Nav I highly recommend getting the ML/DVD for an extra grand, it's so worth it. Most regret not getting it in another thread. I have better luck negotiating by email vs in person. Tell them your ready to buy and will not pay over invoice. Email as many dealers as you can, I wouldn't pay more than invoice in the current market conditions.

I agree i don't want to pay over invoice at all. I think i'll be okay with invoice, but with economic conditions i agree i should be able to at least get 500 under invoice.

Back in Feb, I paid 750 under invoice on my 250. Everything should be under invoice at this point of the car's life.
