Worst luck ever! Nail in the tire.
Ok it seems as I always get bad luck around this time of year, must be an omen or something. Anyways on my way to work there were road contruction. I slowed down to 25 mph and stopped as the big giant scooper comes and scoopes up dirt and concrete. I was 4 cars away from it. I drive through and my low tire comes on. Crap. Went to work and parked the car. Checked on the tire but didn't see anything. After work drove to my wife shop to pick up my son. I got out and did a second check and found this. Its like I have magnet tires. Tomorrow I'll be heading to the shop to fix and soon and hopefully I will upgrade to 19".

holy moly 70 bucks for a patch job. thats crazy expensive. Stealership they really are. You can plug it urself in less than 5 min cost 7bucks for tools and plug, or any gas station can do it for about 10bucks. Costco will do it for free if ur a member(just tell them u bought the tires there).

Yup I am a nail magnet too. If you have a America's Tire or Discount Tire in your area go there. They patch/fix for free (even if you didn't buy tires there). I've gotten two nails in my tires since I had my car. Just drove up to their service dock and was taken care of in 15 mins. Plus I got to stand there and watch them do the whole process (had to make sure they didn't scratch my rim).

It was just that I didn't want to have my brand new car 1st serviced outside the dealership...
But I sure learned my lesson.

Unfortunately we dont have america's tire or discount tire store here. I will try Costco or my local shop which I took to last time and they charged me 10. I don't mind so its all good. But dam why now when I'm planning to get my car dropped this weekend with my fab lip installed. Just gives me the creeps what will happen next.

that would hardly qualify as "worst luck ever", considering that the tire looks to be fixable as it's not so close to the sides.
My local Les Schwab patched it for me for free in exchange for "considering them" when I'm looking to replace my tires. Great deal, considering the dealer was telling me it had to be replaced entirely, and two tires too...
Next time you get a low tire warning, believe it, and use a tire gauge to find out which tire it is, as it's hard to visually tell with our tires.

The thing is that there were 4 cars in front of me and none of them got the nail but me. They blocked part of the street so there were limited space to drive through. I have a tire gauge but it was at home in the garage. Last year around this time my other rear tire on the passenger side was flat on the way home. Yes I'm glad its easily fixed.
