here are two photos of the 2 watt high power 194 flank type bulb from VLEDs...for right angle applications. 6000k HID's with 3000k high beams (you can see a little bit of the yellow in the reflection from the bulb)

Don't be concerned about the DRL but rather the high beams used for long periods of time. The DRL mode supplies a very low amount of power (varies from around 4-5 volts). When you use the high beam at full power for a long time (obviously weather conditions will effect this, extreme hot or cold) will drastically lower the lifespan of any LED unless it has built in protection circuitry or adequate cooling like aluminum heat sinks. So if you don't run your high beams for long periods of time you will be fine with any LED you choose.
On a final note if you do the LED DRL conversion you would have nothing to worry about.
