so i guess i saw this "internal trunk release inside the trunk and i decided to pull on it. and now my trunk wont close at all.

i wait a few minutes and it actually closes..

but then i touched that little pulley again and now it wont close again.

why the hell is it on there for. its so unnecessary.

Well if someone carjacked you and threw you in the trunk, you'd be glad it was there. I'm pretty sure it is for safety reasons

It's probably just sticking a little. So when you pull on it the latch remains open.
