While I was doing my oil change yesterday, I noticed my front tires were wearing out and found a hole like tear on the inner part of the right tire. I couldnt believe the tires were already worn out especially when I dont even drive that hard and only had it for about a year and a half.
Anyway, what do you guys think caused the tear on the tire? Alignment issues? And what alternative tires would you use on this car? I checked the price on the RE050's and their 260 each. Are Hankook tires trustworthy?

Possibly an alignment issue if it involves one tire only.
How many miles do you have on your tires?
The tires can wear as early as 15k miles. This is normal; the stock tires are sticky but wear quickly. The longest that most people have ridden on stock tires are a little under 30k miles...

My suggestion to you is call Discount Tire or Tire Rack as both are great companies and see what they suggest and you can tell them your driving habits. The tires you have are not that great. I am back to them on my car after having aftermarket rims/tires and they are just awful.
I would check the alignment after you get the new tires just to make sure all is okay. It could have been something in the road that did the damage.

Tires will never achieve max mileage potential unless they wear evenly across the full tread surface regardless of the brand. IS is very likely to wearout on the inside tread block. I would have your car aligned at a Lexus dealer & ask them to replace the tires.
I have 2 new Bridgestones FS $350.

I actually had my alignment fixed (or so I think) several times because my car would pull to the right like everyone is aware of I'm sure. I currently have 17k hitting 18k on my current tires. The rear tires still seem to be fine but its just the front tires that are worn out all the way through...I highly doubt that lexus will replace my tires after the miles I have driven on my car right?

My point is they did not wear out, there is plenty of tread left on the tire except one small area. Does no one think there must be some cause beside the tire since the rear tires wear evenly but the fronts never do. when the 350Z was introduced it had a simular problem, nissan authorized it's dealers to replace tires for customers and found a solution to the problem.
