Don't like the new Taillights...don't like the wood shift ****, don't like the wood steering wheel.
I like the new side view mirrors, I like the chrome trim on around the Nav.
Undecided about the front bumper, grill, and rear bumper...pics are too small and fuzzy to tell. I can see the grill a little bit but minor change I think.
I got a heck of a deal on my 08...glad I didn't wait, wouldn't have been worth the extra dough.

I'll need to see the tails in person, or atleast multiple angles in pictures before I can say if I like them or not.
Everything else seems alright
Also, im assuming the wood on the steering wheel would just come on the luxury package?

not really feelin the tail lights, then again...my opinion might change if i see them in-person. wish i could see the front bumper clearly, but from what it looks like itll definitely be something to look into.
as for the new side mirrors, leaning towards becoming a fan. cant wait for the official pics to come out

Hi all,
I am new to this forum, and to the Lexus family. I am looking at getting my first, an IS 250 RWD. My main question is, I am about ready to buy the car, but it is Aug 12th 2008, and through this thread it sounds like the 2009 IS model is about to debut. My question is, does anyone know when the 2009 would actually be available to purchase from a dealer here in TX, USA? Would it be like Sept 1? Would it be end of Sept, or later, etc? Thank you in advance for helping me with my first Lexus purchase.

I can do with out wood on the wheel (wood on the wheel takes out the sporty look). The tailights I need to see in person to know if I like them or not?? I wonder if I could get those side mirrors on my 08...I like those a lot! Does the back (trunk area) look smaller to anyone or is it just me? Wasn't there suppose to be a wheel (rim) change??

I'm sure the US version will have subtle differences, but from what I see...
I like the front end. It's probably the only thing I like.
The signal mirrors are nice and look a lot like the GS, but since I got aftermarket ones already, I have no interest in them.
The tails could maybe grow on me, but from a design standpoint, their initial impression was not good. Also, more amber is a - although that can be remedied.
I wish the wheel and **** wood trim came on the '08 luxury package - then I would have definitely gotten my IS350 with the sport package.
The other changes are like new coin holders.
