I like the changes. The rear tailights are pretty cool looking IMO. I just have to see how agressive the new front end is. It looks more like a toned down version of the IS-F front bumper.

Have to be honest, I thought they were gonna screw up the IS like they did the 2008 GS refresh.

Those wheels are probably stock 18's.

I'm pretty sure Lexus will offer new optional wheels equivalent to ISP's and G's.

You must have superman vision because I can't tell.

Not saying that the '09 IS doesn't, but I don't think any current Lexus has LED tail lights.

That could change, but I'd be surprised if they did.

They are LEDs, and most current Lexus models use LED taillamps, including ours.

It has more to do with the price of gas than the quality. If ours goes to $8/gallon, many of us will settle more less displacement as well.

No.

It's the same as the current stock OEM ISx50 spoiler.

It's listed as a part for '09 ISx50's on Sewell's website.

I like it as well, but I find it funny so many people are already bashing it, and they haven't seen the real deal in person. LOL.

The IS has LEDs in the center high mounted stop light aka 3rd brake light.

There are NO LEDs in the tail lights.

I swapped my tails to IS-F's and so I'm positive.

Are you sure? We have the 204HP IS250 and other countries have the 236HP IS 300 so that logic doesn't really hold much water.

I was told that the GR engine that those countries use comes without direct injection which requires high quality premium fuel...something they don't have access to.

Seems to make sense to me since our 2.5L V6 gets just 30HP shy of their 3.0L unit on a half litre less size. DI is obviously a good thing, but only if you have the right gas to feed it.

I was told all of this by someone in the powertrain department at Lexus USA.

Actually there are LEDs. On the corners of the lamps facing the sides of the quarter panel, there is a string of LEDs in the taillights which act as sidemarkers.

Only North American Spec IS' have this for both the regular 2IS and the IS-F.

You are absolutely correct.

I was referring to LED style tail lights like Infiniti's and Toyota.

Oh and by the way, I have JDM tails.

Are you sure? Everything official ever put out by Lexus on the 2IS has said the car has LEDs. Check out the 2008 specs:

http://pressroom.toyota.com/presstxt...350.250_sf.pdf

Page 4: "LED brake, tail and license plate lamps"

Plus, the taillights light up "instantly," a characteristic of LEDs. If they're not LEDs, they sure look like them.

I'm jealous of the mirrors and thats about it so far, unless they get a power bump as well. Hopefully the mirrors are an easy swap
