Powertrain increases usually come mid-cycle. The rumor is the regular 5 year cycle is stretching out to 6. So it is possible to see a hp bump later in the 09 cycle as a 2009.5 or even a 2010 update.
Possible? Yes. Likely? Not in my opinion. Toyota rarely changes the engines on models. I remember all the hopes that got dashed yearly on the IS300 with the warmed over inline six. I wouldn't be surprised if the 3.5 L in its current configuration ends up in the next new IS model too.
^I think it's something they should offer stateside on the luxury package. The IS350 is not a track star anyways... Wood on the IS-F, on the other hand, wouldn't really fit.
It would be nice if the car was like silver or white so we could see the details of the bumper, but I think it looks pretty good from what I can see, pretty much the same car...
