There was a picture posted not too long ago that showed the lights to still be green. One of the changes was that they have also made the clock, which is white for the 2006-2008 models, also green.

They should have just made everything white to match the clock.

I totally know what you mean! The 2006-2008 tails had a very menacing, furrowed brow look to them at night. And now, all of that is lost.

And it looks like it will be even worse in the day light.

Yeah it's most likely the same green backlighting for the buttons. I really doubt the clock color has changed since the colors are all thrown off in those pics. The clock LED's are all green. The only thing that changes the color is the plastic lens cover that covers it up.

Also, has anyone else noticed that all of those pics are of models without shark fin antennas?

You think they took it off for 2009?

That would be awesome if they did. The shark fin antenna killed the lines of the IS.

Yeah I did that as well, but notice these pics and ads popping up are not US bound.

Yes that photo was taken at the Taste of Lexus event this past weekend in the Bay Area. Next stop is the Rose Bowl in Pasadena this coming weekend for those who were invited.

Goddamit, I can't believe they screwed the tails!

Any chance we can swap an 08's tails with these and have them seated properly?

Majority of the world drives LHD. Only a small portion of the world drives RHD. England, Japan, majority of South East Asia just to name a few.

If you have noticed, those pics are from the Korean market Lexus dealership.

Here's an interesting link on the history of RHD/LHD click here.

I'll be there. Too bad they won't have the IS-F as one fo the choices for the test drive. I guess the IS350 will have to do.

Well I don't see why they wouldn't fit they are they same shape, although i don't know how they will all plug in now if the new ones are LED

I agree it lost that "mean" look, they should have kept the same design but use LED's where everything lights up

Wow, those tail lights are so ugly. I would think a partial red out of the white would make it look a little better, but that would leave pretty much a perfect square for the reverse (white) lights... which imo looks awkward.
