Question Polishing Wheels???

My question here is if its possible to polish the lips of a wheel if it didn't come with it. Is there a place or something you can use to make the lips shiny like its been chromed out, or is it even possible to chrome the lips of a wheel.

Help me out people!

They wont be JDM anymore

To answer you question yes this can be done but I suggest you dont do it. From ones I have seen do it in the past its a lot of up keep and problems later down the road. Better to get a different set of rims IMO...

the ones I dont see have too many problems are the rims that came polished from the manufacture. I guy here locally in central cali charges i think 150 to polish rims.

Yea you would be surprised. The ones here local to me that did this had it done professionally also. I do live in a different climate but those where strictly summer rims. I wouldn't do it....I am sure you spent a decent amount on the rims and would hate to see them get ruined.

polishing is a PITA......yes u can do it but i'd suggest getting it clear coated after you are done. also, a powered coated clear coat is a lot shinier from what ive seen. if u dont, u have to polish it up everyday other day to keep up the shine or not, it was start to oxidize
