It could be one of many things, the gas you're using, the oil that they put in your car, did you go to the same place for your oil change? I recently got an oil change, had them use my own oil Royal Purple 5W-20, my MPG are good in the city I'm doing 26 and highway 35. Also you might want to try re-setting your ECU and don't gas it like crazy. Just smooth. Also gasoline may be playing a bif role, when I use Shell my gas barely lasts me at all, I stick to 76 & Chevron 91 Premium.

Hope you get it figured out

Most likely it's your oil level being too high. Make sure the oil level is in the middle on the dipstick. Too much oil = lower mpg.

I had never heard that before, but a little research and you appear to be right. I just drained a little oil from my car because I had overfilled it when I changed my oil. It was high on the dipstick a couple of millimeters, so I don't know what that translates into but I drained quite a bit of oil to bring the level down. My MPG had gotten worse lately, so hopefully this will help.

Are you using the AC more? Try resetting your ECU, unplug the battery for 10 mins and then see where your at

I had the same issue once with my 250, i was getting 27-28 with combined 50/50 highway city driving on a tank, then all of a sudden i filled up and was only getting 23-24 driving the same routes.. so I unplugged my battery and checked my tires and then my next tank went up to 27 again.. wierd

All I use is Chevron as well, but I think even they use up to 10% ethanol. I didn't know there was any way around it anymore.

when reset the ECU all we do is remove the negative on the battery? also do we need to reprogram anything? keys? window? or? how long is the wait to connect it back?

Disconnecting the battery to reset the ECM is dumb. You lose everything.
