Default Drop in MPG all of a sudden....

bought the IS 350 in January and since I've owned the car I've always gotten 24 - 26 MPG no matter how I drove.

all of a sudden (for about two weeks now) I am getting 19 - 21 MPG and I would say I drive the car a little easier now than I did when I first bought it.

anyone know what would cause this? any issues?

I average 16.3, so I'd be happy with 19.

I just did a road trip ~500 miles and avg was around 26? and a few days after that I got it up to 28 you just have to baby the car, really baby it. I think I am normally around 22 with what the car tells me anyway. Its 100 times better then what I was getting in my last car so I am just fine with it as Gas prices continue to climb

not really complaining about the MPG but it just seems weird to me that it would drop like that after 6 months of driving it at 24 MPG. I will check the tire pressure when I get off work though... hopefully that is it!

Drive in Snow Mode! This will lower your acceleration and increase MPG.

I think its all depend where you drive. If you drive mainly on highway then you get better mileage then driving in the city.

Definitely check your tire pressure. And did you change gas brands recently?

How many miles do you have on the car? Have you gotten ur oil changed yet? im really surprised u were averaging 24-26 mpg "no matter how u drive" thats a really high number for combined driving. 19 to 21 mpg sounds more normal of a range, i always average between 19 and 20 mpg per tank on combined driving

nope. usually go to the same Shell station everytime and fill it with 93. I did however just get my 2nd oil change about a month ago from Lexus. maybe they put in different weight oil becuase of summer time?

Gas quality is getting worse. So in turn it will burn less efficiently. Damn Ethanol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
