Little water trap inside exhaust tip?

I don't mind replacing it, its the cutting part that make me very nerves. They cut both the OEM tip and pipe and then weld the tips to the OEM muffler. You can see they scratches my bumper a little bit.

ahh... ok then... IF they do rust then its a perfect excuse for *in order of loudness* tanabe/greedy/hks/fsport

Water traps are design to let the water blow out when you start the car. If you feel uncomfortable about that. Then just drill under right under the water trap to let it drain out. Will make no sound change what so ever. And muffler mfgs sometimes use a hole then opposed to a water trap

An occasional WOT is what I do to flush the water out of my Lexus HKS.

^^ The price of modifications....

If you do have to do this again for some reason, you can "blue tape" the bumper cover area around the tips to prevent further damage...

Also, if the tips start to hold a lot of "water", you might want to consider drilling a small hole on the bottom side of the tip towards the muffler, so it has a place to exit...

Thank for your tip, I will try that tomorrow. Its only couple day and I can see inside the tips started turning orange at where the water trap.

Hey Joe Z, what kind of drill bits do you used to drill your tips? I only have the battery power drill. I have tried with a old bits but it not doing anything. Man that metal are tough.
