Pulled over for tint...might even be factory!

I respect cops who are out there to serve the public and protect people, but cops that are out there that aren't smart enough to decifer right from wrong are very dangerous. Unfortunately most cops out there aren't smart enough to decifer right from wrong and step on your liberties because they are power hungry insane maniacs. I mean go stop a crime and quit worrying about if a window has shade too dark, come on. I pay taxes to have some mercenary tell me I cant have window tint. Stupid people deserve to be slaves.

I dont know if a study has ever been done to determine how many police officers in southern california are idiots, dicks and just plain crooked, but if I were to have to guess.. i'd say.. 80% of them are dicks, 99.9% of them are idiots and probably 99.8% of them are crooked, (let me add another percentage in there.. NONE of them could care less about your situation or you. sure they'll help you somehow if they're witnessing something wrong happen, but how often does that happen, right ?) i'm not talking training day pay you off crooked, i'm talking doing favors for friends and hot chicks and cutting corners and taking advantage of the power our state/government gives them. So IF I were you.. i'd use the 99.9% of them being idiots to your advantage, your tint isn't dark at all, I would take it to CHP and tell them you had the darker tint removed with this very low tint so you wont get pulled over again. And be nice cause police are like animals if your nice to them and pet them and give them treats, they wont bite. Just being sarcastic here. I would give it a try.. if your too scared. pay $200 to have it pulled off. I would try to trick a few cops before you do though.

I know how u feel.....I got ticketed last night and my tint isn't dark at all. Tint level from front to back 50,40,15. (laws here are no tints for front windows).
I guess it was partly my fault since I knew I was driving by a cop but i forgot to roll the window down fully. I figured it wasn't too dark and since he was ticketing someone else he would leave me alone. So he ended up ticketing me for 100 bux but didnt require me to remove it.
Your tint looks similar to my back windows which are 40%.

Well... My 20% all around has not attracted any unwanted attention here in Dallas. State law here is no lower than 35 on the front and 20 in the rear. So I can get away away with it somewhat.
Now what is a new cop trend here is pulling people over for failure to stop at a stop sign. Well thats justified.
This has not just happened to me but a few friends as well.
I was driving in my neighborhood after work the other night. Around 7:00PM. Not too late. I stop at the stop sign, yes I do make a compleate stop. But apparently not for THREE seconds. I have never been pulled over or ticketed for anything. So I was immediately pissed when I got a ticket for not stopping for three seconds. Which is not in the drivers handbook
Then the ticket turned out to be $120.00!!! WTF!
Sorry not meaning to thread hack here. But is that an issue in Cali as well?

Cool, so basically i was just making sure I was not crazy for thinking this ticket was a bit out of line. So thanks for all the feedback, I will try to take it to another cop, see if I can get it signed off, and only as a last resort remove the tint. Thanks for the tint removal tips and hearing me out on this. Oh well, what can you do huh. Just keep thinking of how much I love this car and look forward to SS coilovers, tanabe exhaust, and F-Sport intake...trying to stay posetive here!

Dude.. I just had to go to court this morning for a failure to stop at a stop sign ticket that I got two months ago.. AND he(the cop) gave me a hard time too, I showed him proof of insurance and regi and license and he still wrote on the ticket I didn't have insurnace. I guess cause I took a while to look for it he assumed I didn't have it and wrote it out. So I get a bail amount in the mail for over $800 !! Only a hundred and seventy was for the failure to stop, everything else.. for the no insurance. I had to show the judge I had insurnace.. pain.. in... the.. ***.. and yes I did stop.. but not for 3 seconds.. I thought we could do that out here.. california stop, right ? haha.. j/k.. he was a **** though.
