well i bought my 07 in sept of 06 and now im what 1.5 months away of two years and have 17k, so thats roughly 8k per year,,,,i think the average year is suppose to be between 10-12k a year.
I live in OC and work near LAX with a GF in Pasadena. I'll be lucky if I can get under 28K. Hopefully I can work from home more once and a while. Why I decided against getting a German car and went with a lexus.
I think the main reason you need to look at how many miles you use is strictly when your going to sell it, the more miles obviously the more wear and tear and less value the car will hold up for..less all be honest here , none of us are going to keep our cars forever , or you might get your car totalled or stolen and then they <insurance companies> have to figure out how much it was worth and the mileage is probably the main focus...
I know this is different for each person...for me, as much as I love my car...it is a car and is to be driven, that's the main reason you have one. So drive it and enjoy every minute of it, it's a great reliable machine that will keep on tickin! I love the driving experience of the IS, so I always wanna drive!
I got my car begining of July 2007. Now i have 16,500 miles on my car as it has been 1 year. Is that a normal thing? of did i go over? what is most ppls mileage in 1 year?? thx
Don't worry about it. There is no right or wrong miles. Do what suites your life best.

That is above the average for one year. No big deal, enjoy your car. I usually average less than 8k annually.
