okay so some lexus dealerships along with sewell lexus parts online will sell you the cheap cabin air filter (part# 87139-YZZ08)

im looking for the OEM cabin air filter (part# 87139-07010) and i found that from the website posted above, [[ http://www.lexuspartsworld.com/Scrip...?idproduct=314 ]], but im trying to find this same product but for a cheaper price....

does anybody know if toyota dealerships sell the...
cheap cabin air filter (part# 87139-YZZ08)
OR if theyre selling the....
OEM cabin air filter (part# 87139-07010) ?

^ why don't you buy from the ebay seller from two posts ago? I was thinking of pulling the trigger on this auction:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Lexus...item335c6655f0

It's $6.95 + $4.95 shipping. I can't open your link so I'm not sure what that's going for.

The other item was this one:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/LEXUS...item23025ef320

... but this one's a few bucks more and a different color. So I was wondering if there were any other differences.

A little O/T but any good sellers for the air filter on ebay for the 2008 IS 350? I was thinking about going with a blitz to save some money since I wouldn't have to replace it, just clean it. But I'm not sure what the blitz filter goes for and if it's a lot more, maybe I should just get regular air filters. I mentioned this earlier, but a little update, I'm at around 23,500 miles and still haven't touched the air filter or cabin air filter (and I know I'm supposed to have)

Is replacing the microfilter in this car as easy as it looks in that pdf? In my last car you had to remove an entire portion of the dash to get to it and the Nissan dealer charged a fortune for the filter + labor, like $100+).. looking at the .pdf it looks dead simple.

It is dead simple. Just be absolutely certain you're in recirculate mode and it's a cake walk. Open glove box. Remove shelf. Remove cover. Remove filter. Replace filter. Replace cover. Replace shelf. Close glovebox. Done.

Whatever you do DON'T FORCE THE RECIRC DOOR OPEN. It will break for sure. AMHIK.

That looks like it. There are also filters with activated charcoal which should be a lot more effective at reducing hydrocarbons in the air.

Thanks.

Happen to have a link to one that will fit in the 2IS? Can they be purchased from Sewell Parts? I just don't want that crappy/cheap one they are apparently shipping.
