Thanks! I'll definitely be hitting the track a few times this fall and see how the car does in stock form in cool weather and low altitude. Based on the runs already reported for the IS-F, I am fairly confident that with Sub 60F temps and low elevation the IS-F will hit somewhere around a 12.5@115mph. The only thing about the IS-F is that it's fastest in full manual mode so it won't be as easy and consistent at the track as the IS350 with having to shift.

Ok... my thoughts on this subject are found HERE.

Regarding the IS350 acceleration numbers being all over the place... is it because some disable the VDIM/traction control and others didn't (especially the '06 model tests)?

Here's an old R&T article with the IS350 numbers:

Yeah agreed. I was able to acheive my fastest time with VDIM Sport but with Trac ON. The IS-F I ran had the crappy Bridgestone Potenzas...so that possibly could have hurt my launch...on top of the full trim I ran, load of fuel and the track temperatures.

^^^ LOL wow you found one video where the IS-F took off late and barely lost. I don't see the IS-F getting "smoked" lol. Looks like more of a bad run to me. Here is a more accurate video of a bone stock IS-F running a 12.6

You do realize Irwindale Dragway is only an 1/8 mile strip. If Irwindale was 1/8 mile longer...the IS350 would have been exactly where its expected...trailing behind the F.

I own an ISF and that was a joke post...I read through all of it and was shocked that 350 is even compared to ISF. Its pretty much like comparing ISF to LFA and asking if ISF is better.

Yea I have to agree with those above who mentioned the lack of mind blowing power in the F. When I test drove the F and got back in my IS 350 I didn't feel a difference worth 30gs or even 15. However, when I drove the Mercedes C63, now that was a mind blowing difference!!!!!!!! If that car looked better I would be in that right now! I think the IS 350 souped up is sufficient for all the needs you listed above.

Man as an IS 350 owner I was hoping this thing was legit, but it seemed like either a set up or the driver in the F just fell asleep behind the wheel. It actually looked like he was trying to give the 350 a head start...LOL.
