It's pointless posting those pictures, way to easy to manipulate that. I drive about 90% highway during the week and average about 23.5MPG. Sometimes over 24MPG. I will be taking my car to Florida next month and will see what I can get on the long highway stretch.

Here is an image of the spreadsheet that I use to keep track (been doing this now for a little over a month). I drive about 90% city. The bottom rows are the most recent and the top is the past. I was surprised that I could get manage around 24 for a couple of weeks.

It's not that pointless. Alls I'm saying is I got 34 mpg driving around 80 mph on CC for about 150 miles. No trickery there. But a valid point would be how accurate (or inaccurate) the computer calculates it.

What would be the point of manipulating these numbers? What would that serve?

I don't have much experience with my is350 watching mpg.

but, I flew out to Denver from SLC to pick up a 2010 ISF and drove it home for him. Freeway roughly 540 miles on I70 up and down through the Rocky Mountains and I got roughly 31mpg. Keep in mind however that I was cruising at between 80 - 90mph in 8th gear the whole way.

Go 60 mph with the cruise on and I guarantee you will get more than 23.5 mpg

Bought a used 2006 IS350 with about 60k miles a few months ago.

So far I'm getting 27-29 MPG with 80% highway and 20% city. I usually get 350-400 miles a tank depending how early I fill up (around 30 or less miles showing on the display). I watch traffic ahead/behind me and let go of the gas accordingly and minimize brake usage. But I tend to gun it every now and then.

If a picture is pointless to post, than posting is even more pointless. That's even easier to manipulate. This isn't a contest. It's informative.

YAWN.... I'm saying some just post these ridiculous pictures that are not accurate representations of the mileage they are getting. And I am talking about the pictures showing the MPG on the dash.

just started using the "road trip" app. ( just 140 miles since i starting using this) but i look forward to seeing the long term numbers. was showing 27.5 average (this was about 50/50 city and freeway)
Before using this, the cars cluster estimate was right around 26 with about 10k miles put on the car since i have owned it.
Will be interesting to see how the numbers go in the next few months.
*this is also with a roof rack and 2 bike attachments.

I don't know what's wrong with your dash indicator because mine is fairly accurate; no one expects 100%. I keep track of it with nearly every tank and it's close to what I expect based on miles per tank and gallons to fill up. Yes, it can be manipulated, but who would do that? Someone who wants to brag about his/her MPG to other owners of the same car? Take your pointless posts elsewhere.

About the same story for me. 2007 IS350 with 63K on the clock.

I drive 100 per day.about 40miles at 45MPH with stop lights and about 60miles at 75MPH. I was running 93 octane with 10% ethanol and got 27.5-28MPG. I recently was able to get non-ethanol gas, but only 89 octane. Using that, I'm getting 29MPG same route, same driving style. I'm going to continue to monitor. However, I'm sure that the 93 octane I was purchasing has been dumbed down with what ever the trucks have left over when they fill up the 87 and 89 tanks....

Can anyone with a IS250 AWD give me some mpg numbers you consistently get? I might be getting one before the end of the month, and wanted to know what people are getting out of the car. I primarily have highway driving with some rural city use so I'm aiming for mid to high 20 avgs per tank. If this is achievable with regular gas, which Lexus says we can use, then it would be great on fuel economy.

The reason I ask is, I want a car that has a little pizazz but gets good fuel economy. I was looking at the new Acuax ILX, and while that gets better mpg, still like the IS250 bodystyle better and would rather be in that. If I can get mid to high 20s with the IS250 AWD on regular gas then it would not be too bad.

Also, can anyone tell me, is the Lexus AWD system all the time like BMW, Subaru, and Audi's or is it on demand with the flip of a switch like Infiniti's is?

Lexus doesn't say you can use regular fuel tho? It specifically says "Premium Unleaded".

My bad, your right. Anyway, what kind of mpg are you getting out of the IS250 AWD with mostly highway mileage?
