Default Stupid question,but really curious...

Will 22's fit on the 2nd gen IS? I have 20's now and i have no problem with them but i want to go bigger...i recently purchased PIAA Super Rozzas that are 19's with a fat lip that are currently being painted, but im really curious whats the biggest i can go

unless it's been asked before and is within easy searching distance!
Anyhoo, I don't know anything about wheels so I suppose someone else can chime in here.
Why 22s though? I guess to each their own but ouch I can only imagine the problems... bending, ride quality, not to mention suv monstertruck look

22's wouldn't look right on such a little car.

I think its been done before , dont member if it was 22 or 21's soem red is, but i know it rubbed everywhere and whenever it was driven. look around i think its on my.is

from what i remember it was 20 in the front and 22 in the rear n it rubbed like crazy. I honestly dont think 22's will fit properly. The car's not big enuff for them really.....

I agree ^^ 22's are going to have all kinds of clearence issues, and rub like crazy. They are just too big for our cars.
I have seen one of our former CL members buy a new G35 sedan, and put 22's on it, they actually looked ok (didn't lower the car at all).

Im sure you could do it, but its DEFINITELY going to rub a lot, and also look really lame. 20s are more than big enough with a proper drop.
