Default Cleaning Before Clear Bra Install?

I dropped my IS 250 off at the dealership this evening to get the 3M clear bra installed. I asked the guy if any cleaning / waxing is done on those areas of the paint prior to putting the film on. He says that the standard procedure is to spray some sort of alcohol on prior to application and that this is the standard procedure they use for all installs.

Does anyone think there is something wrong with using cleaning alcohol before applying this?

Alcohol removes the wax so that the film will adhere. Usually they apply some soapy water during the installation to help with the placement. Alcohol is also recommended if you are going to install a spoiler or lip using 3m tape. Everything is fine.

my guy used a claybar before he installed the clearbra. i would think this should be required anyway. just alcohol wouldn't remove as much as the claybar.

i claybared my front end before taking it to my installer. They cleaned it again with the wax remover spray and alcohol mixture before installing the film.
