Default New soon-to-be owner of an '09 IS 250 RWD

Good day everyone,
I figured I should introduce myself since I've joined this forum recently to gather info on my car purchase. Yesterday, I put a deposit down for an '09 IS 250 RWD in Black Sapphire Pearl.

I am currently deployed to Afghanistan as a member of the Canadian Army. Been a member for a few years now and finally got to come over here and do what I do best: Asset management. Haha, doesn't sound so hardcore but someone's gotta do it. Besides, it's paying for my down payment on the Lexus.

Now to wait for December to come, get home and go for a long, well-deserved ride!

I'm purchasing it in basic trim, I dislike leather for many reasons. I wish I could have gotten the moon-roof as a separate option but it's a package so I skipped.

Anyone else from Ontario, Canada? I live in Kingston (when not overseas) and am purchasing my car from Tony Graham Lexus in Ottawa.

Can't wait! Very pleased to be among such fine people as you all!

I -wish- I could have gotten my 350 without a moonroof... sadly not possible in the US unless you're willing to take exactly the X package and not Lux or Sport packages (and in the US they limit you to only 3 exterior colors for the X package too)...

leather I like though

I don't see how the lack of moonroof makes this car any less attractive. My previous car didn't have one and I've never felt the need for one.

As for leather, I just don't like it all that much. Sure it looks classy and all but I don't see how I would need it, cloth is fine and seems like less maintenance to me, especially considering my lifestyle.

I looked into the Camry first but the V6 only comes in automatic (in Canada anyway). The Accord is available in a nice V6 coupe configuration with 6-speed manual but I didn't feel it. More power than I need and none of the charm I was looking for.

Canadians always get better options too..I remember for my RSX, the only way you could get a pearl white w/ black interior was if it was bought in Canada. the option for white/black interior wasn't available to the states. Along w/ many other factory options..wonder why that is
