I am in the market to get a IS350, after doing some research, i figured i can get a 07 for a decent price, looking on AUTOTRADER, 07's are going for 31k with about 18k miles. thats with NAVI and SPORT
New 08 IS350 is $36k base, plus NAVI and SPORT adds up to $39k,
According to Edmunds invoice is 32, plus all that is around 36k.
so which way should i go used, 07 or a 08 new, since the 09s are coming out in SEPT,
WILL THE PRICE OF THE 07 DROP in SEPT OR LATER IN THE YEAR???????
when will be the best time to get one

the prices will drop when the 09 comes out. I would wait on either case because of that. just be careful looking at 08 because they might sell out before the 09 come out. you can probably go invoice for the 08 when the 09 come out. 350 are rarer so you might not get as good of a deal as a 250 which can go below invoice at the end of model year.

Go new '08.
The last week of Sept. is a great time to buy.
Dealers will want to clear inventory for '09's and salespeople are hungry to close their month with strong numbers.
But the longer you wait, the less options for '08's you will have.

thx for the input, but i was wanting to spend around 35k, a friend of mine got a 250 with x pkg, and navi, in june, of 07 back in 07 for 32k +tax. thats why im so **** about the price, im using that as a bench mark. hahaha if you will...
so what about getting an 07 with those opts for around 30k, i dont think i will go with 250, i think 350 is the way to go..... opinions

Hmmm, I'll be the first one to disagree here then. I say go used! I got 06 - IS350 with luxury, ML, NAV, and a nice set of O.Z. 3 piece wheels with 18K miles for $29,900 and apparently it's just me here but to me it was worth going used to save 10 + grand. The car history is flawless, was serviced at a dealer for 5, 10, and 15K check ups, I had 2+ years of warranty and so on. I make a decent paycheck and all but that's an extra 10 grand toward a house or something! But I also plan on driving the car for 5 plus years so why not let someone else take the initial 10 grand hit in depreciation? Sure new is nice, but IMHO a nice clean 2 year old car is the smart buy, but you have to be patient and shop around till you get what you want.
