Default Should I install the rear GFX also?

Originally I was just going to get the front and side GFX parts, but with sewell's sale I'm getting the whole kit.

It makes sense to put the whole kit on for completeness but I'm not too fond of the cutting and drilling required. Couldn't uninstall it if I wanted to like the front and sides. Also don't like the horizontal line created by the bolt-on body panel. My IS is of a darker shade, but it's still visible.

I think it looks nice with other mods in the back to complement the rear kit. I do plan on getting tanabe exhausts and an IS-F spoiler to add to the tail lights and emblems, but I think that already will look nice.

So should I install the rear GFX also?

Thanks everyone!

You can just buy the other GFX pieces and skip the rear section, if you're not happy with the permanence of the installation, or the horizontal line of the rear section. Personally, I don't think our cars really need the rear GFX section to look good. Just my 0.02

the rear and sides do not make much of a difference to the car. i'd say just get the front.

I just purchased the front lip from Sewell as well and will be installing it this morning. I was thinking about purchasing the rear piece, but decided against it and will probably pick up the Tom's rear somewhere down the road. If you already have it, I would install it.

I think the best solution for you is to buy the whole kit from Sewell and install only the fronts and sides for now. Remember that Sewell said the kit will be discontinued as they are sold now and only the front will be sold unpainted in the future. So this is your last chance to get them factory-painted.

Spend some time thinking if your really want the rears or not. If you decide to put it on, you just have to deal with the drilling and remember it's permanent. If you decide not to install it, somebody on here would likely buy it. After all, it's only $81.

The front does not need drilling. It is bolted so drilling is overkill. The rear bumper does need to be cut. Although there are a small number of people who have not drilled/cut. I believe the sides are just a simple swap.

Yeah, your best bet would be to just buy the whole kit at that price and just let the rear lip sit and collect dust. Maybe one day you'll have the strange urge to just slap it on. who knows? Or maybe sell it a yr down the line..

Thanks for your input everyone.

See the tough decision I have, the poll is currently at 11 vs 9 - nearly 50/50.

I already ordered the complete kit and expecting it tomorrow the 11th.

The plan will be just install the front and sides and see.

Mister T, good idea, just install the front and sides first. that's all you may need and if you feel like to need complement the front with the rear kit, then you can always install it. please post PICS when you install the front and sides. good luck.

it seems a lot of people seeing gaps when they install their rear lips.
