Wait for the 09s. When there is a noticable change in body style, always try to buy the newer one.

Unless you are getting a truley awesome deal on the older style.

Vik,

Very nicely put. It would be sad to buy an 08 assuming the 09 is more appealing to the OP. Timing is everything. Lexus also has the December to Remember sales event that will get a you deal on an 09. It is a year end sales to end the fiscal year on a good note for both Lexus and local dealers.

I suggest waiting until the last week of September to make your decision.

At that time, '09's should be popping up giving you an opportunity to check them out. Dealerships are also eager to unload '08's and salespeople are hungry to close the month off strong.

Just keep in mind, the longer you wait on an '08, the less options and colors you will have to choose from. But if worse comes to worse, you can get a tailor made '09.

In terms of future resale value the 09 is the best choice, and if you are a Costco member you get the same great deal either way, might be worth it to join just for the discount. I paid $1500 over invoice & they show you the invoice. Most important of all there is no such thing as a good deal on something you don't want!
