Check VSC Message after installing OEM Pedals
Ok, I installed the OEM sports pedals today. It took me a long time. I followed the DIY thread from the board and the install instructions from Sewell.
Now, I put everything back into place and put the penal back on. I turn my car on to move it back into the garage and I have the following message. "Check VSC." Obviously, check vehicle stability control. The engine light is on and the VSC logo is on as if I had turned it off. I decided to press the VSC button to see if that worked. Nope, nothing. The message stays and the icons on the console remain.
Any one have the slightest idea as to what may have triggered this to happen? I'm afraid I may have to take it into Lexus and get robbed of my cash. Ick.

Did you have the accelerator pedal position sensor unplugged? You may have had the ignition on with it unplugged, or loose. I would check those, and have someone pull the codes, then clear them, and see if they return.

come to think of it I did turn the power on when I closed the sun roof. I had the pedal disconected from everything. This makes sense now. I don't know anyone that can run the code for me though. I need to take my car in for servicing anyway. So I'll mention this to them when I drop it off. Thanks for the reply.
