help! i have a case of curb rash..
Hey guys/girls can someone please help me with some advice, I (amateurishly) got curb rash while not paying attention on my stock 18" wheels that is somewhat bad i I have pictures but I'm not sure how to post pics on here, anyway I was just wondering if it would be possible to fix? It's not dented or anything just scraped... the scrape is about 2 inches I'll post pics as soon as i figure out how to but just wanted to know if trying to save my wheel would be a rational choice cost wise considering I will probably be getting new wheels in about a 1-2 years? any advice would be appreciated!!

there is a thread if u search but i seen people sand or used some type of thing to smooth it out then they use the tungsten pearl touch paint to make it look new again. if u have stock i suggest goin that or seek professional help but they will charge u to repair it.i have some curb rashes as well and never go to fixin it cuz i find it hard to tell when u look at the car.

I haven't found the thread yet so I'm still not sure if I can do it or not yet, it's not toooo serious so as long as the procedure isn't too complicated I think I can probably do it myself, I guess $100 isn't too bad as long as they do a decent job...

IMO it's not worth to go about fixing stock rims since chances are, you're going to curb it again. it just happens to just about everyone. personally i think you're better off getting new rims down the line anyway. or just leave it until it gets really bad and fix it altogether

damn man, sorry to hear that. id prolly just buy a new set of rims down the line unless of course, its a lease. but if not, then just buy a set of rims that u like better! MOD it op!

There is an excellent DIY on wheel repair on the Audi forum: http://www.audiworld.com/tech/ext43.shtml
You can also use a professional wheel repair center like this one: http://www.wheelcollision.com/

I feel for ya. I curbed my left rear rim at 35 miles on the odometer. i have about 400 or so now. Irks me to the bitter end. Its a nice scrape but if you dont tell, you wont see lol. I see it ALL the time.
I saw that Audi scrape, mine is exactly like it.
