no contest here, AWD wins by a landslide. but seriously, it doesn't really matter rwd or awd, as long as you have good tires and not drive like an idiot an rwd can be exceptionally stable

i'm RWD, and i do just fine all year ... i take it skiing, i go to school on a hill where we actually have winter
the solution you're looking for is: RWD w. some really good all season tires
and please please please learn to drive properly ... i find a lot of people depend on their car to take care of them, but i think you should be able to do it reguardless of how good your car is (with in reason of course)
