Just got an update from the body shop over my lunch break and was informed that there is internal damage to the absorber as well as the left and right retainers. Parts are ordered and if they get it early enough by tomorrow, I might get my car back the same day.

Ahh crap....I hope it wasnt from the 880 to stevens creek...I know thats a cursed area.... Hopefully you be ready by the 21st....

Did you get it fixed? That looks very similar to the damage on my truck a couple weeks ago. Price quoted was about the same too. Once the bodyshop got the part in, it was done in a day. That kinda damage is nothing. Just replace one part basically.

It actually occurred on 85S right before the stevens creek exit by de anza. That is a danger zone since traffic always slows down there because of merging lanes. My car will be ready by the 21st. See you there.

As I type the shop is just waiting on the internal parts to be delivered today and they said they already have my bumper painted. I'm surprised how fast the turnaround was for this repair. But it is like a 2 part replacement - bumper and absorber.

Hopefully I pick it up today. I'm waiting for a phone call.
