Many years and many many many car washes later, still going. However, only now have I begun to see some slight peeling of the tape and small separation from the gfx rear and the rear bumper. Might have re-tape sometime again in the near future.

Thanks again Dave! It's still holding strong, been through many washes. 1 wash every week for the past 3 month. Still strong.

After going through the whole thread I decided to get this.

Ive used 3M tape with no problems but the heaviest item Ive used it on is my roof spoiler so I got this just in case. Im just waiting to get my rear GFX painted!

Just placed my order on Swells, I think I'll be going with the 3M tape route due to the fact that If I want to change out my rear lip to something else, I wont have a ton of holes or cut up exhaust holes.

My question is how are you guys removing the tabs/screws on the GFX lip? dremel, cutters?

Thanks, and wish me luck on the install lol

They are attached with double sided tape, so a flat head screwdriver will pry the tab right off. Take it it will take a little force to do.

I personally did the install not more than 2 weeks ago, really easy and stright forward.
1. I personally wasnt fond of using the tape that was pre install on the rear lip, it was too short and i felt it wasnt safe as time goes on, order arcylcis 3M double side tape from amazon and redid everything (this took awhile to setup BY FAR the hardest part of the istall)
2. remove all tabs from the rear lip,the two metal piece left and right corners and there should be a few in the middle
3. install <-- get a friend or you'll make thing harder for yourself

excuse my spelling school computer has no spell check lol

Shipping will vary depends on where your location at but the painted lip is about $280 and shipping from swells (Dallas, TX) to San Diego was about $55
