Im talking about the ECT power button.
If its on......
* Gears will hold, which means higher RPMS which means more gas wasted
* Even with normal braking this will cause the transmission to downshift EVERY SINGLE TIME and will give that jerking motion feeling hes talking about when hes braking
PS. I think you guys are just effing with us about this and seeing how far you can take it. With that said and you truly still dont know how to solve this then you shouldnt be driving this car.

leo k, let me understand what you are saying. Earlier, you said
"the gear stays at 4 and i just cruise at 5000 rpm...and it doesnt go onto the next gear ... the engine roars".
I take this to mean that you are on the highway, between 60 and 90, at a steady cruise, in drive (not sport mode) and your in 4th gear at 5000 RPM and the car will not shift up. Is that correct? This means that your car will not shift past 4th under any circumstances? this only happened once? The car will not shift past 4th anymore?
Or, are you saying that it takes a while to shift into a higher gear. Your statement above makes it sound like the car *will not* shift at all. Just trying to get a better understanding.

lol ok you guys need to chill out...i know what the ECT is and i know that the snow mode is pushing it the other way. I know the sport mode is when you can use the paddle shifters so relax..i was just jokin with that guy about being scared...
i just really dont like having the ECT off as the car is kinda too slow
with the ect its much better in my opinion and gas is not a problem
so its all good.
Yea its like when im accelerating to that speed between 50 and 90 from like merging onto the highway it normaly levels out to 5th or 6th gear to cruise...but mine will like stay revving at 5000rpm or higher as if i am still ripping it to a nice speed
i mean i see what your saying the ECT makes it super aggressive to compensate for the motor and now that i think of it if that didnt happen it wouldnt be any fun really...so yea its all good..
i think i wanna get a brake upgrade do you guys think i can do that with a lease? or i have to get the is-f sport ones that are dealer installed? and thatl be retarded amounts of money?
