what difference will having VDIM in is250 in 09 mean in contrast to the 08 is250?

Not much. It's just a more advanced stability control system really that integrates more systems....been on the 350 since the first model year.

but that didnt really help with me understanding what the difference is? is the car less likely to spin out? is it smarter? is it slower? is it faster?

need mas info!!

It allows you to go faster and corner 30%-40% more dangerously before you lose it thus reducing your chance of surviving the accident by approximately 60%-70%.

Which of course you shouldn't be cornering that fast on the street anyway and if you're on the track you'd turn it off anyway.

It's not too much of a help unless you're RWD and in bad climate. Even then tires and throttle control will be more important anyway.

Think of VDIM as a more advanced stability control. Difference? It's more precise on what it's doing that's about it.

The 2009 IS250 owners can brag that they have a better system, that would be the primary benefit.

VDIM is a dedicated computer that its primary purpose is to maintain traction under adverse conditions. It does this by controlling/integrating/managing all the other nannies. I have another Toyota vehicle without the VDIM and there is a noticable difference.

love vdim in the winter...very safe...sometimes too safe tho...
