Recommended place for oil change
I have been an IS250 owner for about 2 years now. I have been taking my car to the dealership for my oil change every 5,000 miles. However, I've always been told by others that dealership's service prices have always been much higher than many other places'.
I would like to know if there's a trusted and reputable place to take my Lexus to for oil changes and small fixes if needed. Although dealerships seem to charge a high price for their service, I've always trusted that they would perform their service perfectly on my car since they specialize in dealing with only Lexus. Any suggestions and recommendations would be much appreciated.

Check with locals for your area. They could give you a better response on what trouble they have had with some shops and what shops did a great job. Also, just look up what needs to be done other then the oil change and see if they can do it or do it yourself.

I have been using a local Valvoline oil change franchise. Very professional . I have watched them do the oil change and they incorporate a military type check list as they are doing the car. Full synthetic is available at a decent price. My family has used them for our TT coupe, 350z, 335i as well as the IS250AWD. Not sure if they have these in your area but I would not hesitate to use them again.

I did mine at JeffyLube last week... their service is really fast...BUT.. they left weird white waxy marks on my center, and made me really angry.. i told them to clean up, but they kept saying they were there when the car was in... they still cleaned it, but im not that happy with that part...

You guys are lucky. I wanted to service my oil change at my local Jiffy Lube but they told me they don't have the "special" tool to do it. Sigh.

I would be a bit skeptical using Jiffy Lube after reading some of the horror stores on CL...
How about Toyota dealership? give them a call and see if they're ok servicing a Lexus. Some do, some dont. This just for regular maintenance, warranty work will always need to be done at a Lexus dealership. You should expect about half the cost at a Toyota dealership.
