Default Using voice commands on nav...i'm lost

So i found a thread that lists a lot of the voice commands, but there was no way to find specific places of interest. Is there a way to search for something specific like "McDonald's" or "****'s sporting good's" using the voice commands?

What about entering an address via the voice? I can't seem to find this stuff anywhere.

you cant ask it to find mcdonalds. you can say "i'm Hungry" and it will show the icons on the screen, and the red and yellow McDonald's icon ill be visible.

to enter an address, say "Enter Address" it will guide you through saying street, number, ity, state, etc. Works not as well as i would have hoped, and takes forever

Say "HELP" and you will get a list of commands.

The help sucks, i've tried it and it only gives a fraction of the available commands. i'd have to say im quite disappointed with the voice ability in terms of navigation...it'd be nice to be able to search the same things u can find through the menu's.

you just need to look through the list and see what you want to do. i usually use only the following voice commands:

Resume Guidance
Suspend Guidance
Restaurant
Fast Food
Italian
Gas Station

I don't usually use anything else as when I have a destination I just get the address from the internet and type it in or search in the POI list for the location and off I go

You need to practice using voice commands. I have found that the commands work better when you speak normal and DON'T try to say them slow and distinctive.

really? the voice command recognizes all of my commands perfectly unless there's a lot of people talking loud or even yelling in my car.

My biggest adjustment to using this system was resisting the urge to scream at the car thinking it wouldn't understand me otherwise.

Speaking clearly at a reasonable volume works almost every time.

Yeah, mine never does what I tell it to do. I use the "dial by name" command, and it always ends up dialing the wrong name. It's very picky with voice commands.
