it would really help if you tell us how much (percentage wise) you drive on the highway vs. city.

For example, the past few months I have driven mostly around town, work is very close (3mi) and I've been getting about 22mpg. There are some day's that I let is loose, but most of the time I'm easy on the gas.

Last year & year before, I was driving 65mi each way for work and not much driving around town. I was getting about 33mpg average per tank. My lifetime mpg avg (I never reset it) for the car was actually 29.9mpg for over a total of about 45k miles!!! But since I moved closer it has came down a bit.

you can look at the tank avg. but it is still usually off.

just do your own calculations every time you fill up gas. you just have to remember to reset either trip A or B each time you fill up.

We have a 17 gal tank. But something like 2 gal's are reserve. So when you're showing 0, you have used up approx ~14.5gals.

Is his C350 4-matic? his tank size? I would just go by mpg then how many miles he gets per fill.

I averaged 23 mpg with my AWD with 75% suburb driving. I always wished it obtained better MPG, but that is not too bad for AWD.

I drive 100% suburban driving and average between 20-22mpg. Moderate throttle acceleration

Right, there's always some gas in there even though you're on empty. However, I would not push your luck, and just refill around a quarter tank left.

I consistently average 25 mpg in mixed driving, with perhaps 60-70% highway.

I get 20-22mpg. Before I used to drive only local (3mile drive) but now drive on the highway. I do however drive 80mph on the highway usually so I am killing my gas that way.

i got about 23 with 50/50 driving.....21mpg mostly city. i do get on my awd though. if i do not get on it i can manage 24.5-25mpg but it's hard for me haha. plus i live in a kinda hilly climate so i'm either on the gas or off of it, no smooth surfaces around me.

also like to add my car yesterday just clocked over 30K, last summer i was averaging consistent 24.5mpg even while being driven hard....however i didn't have an intake at that time. i use synthetic oil, currently castrol syntec in the car and that gets changed every 5K miles. i do probably need to clean my air filter and also the differentials are being done this weekend or next. so i'm gonna see how all of these changes affect gas mileage if any.
