Is this a bad plan for 25k maintenance?

Is this a bad plan for 25k maintenance?
Go to Lexus dealer and purchase an OEM oil filter and cabin filter.
Go to Valvoline Oil Change Center down the street and have them do the change, but use my filter. No, I don't want to do it myself.
Install cabin filter myself. This I don't mind doing.
-OR-
Is there any reason to let Lexus do this (at what $$$$)?
If I go with my plan, is there a particular grade of Valvoline oil I should ask for?

You can do a search for maintenance threads and their are a ton with opinions. The general feeling is that Lexus obviously overcharges for all service. Everything is very easy to DIY on the 2gen. The cabin filter takes no time at all to intsall and the oil change is very basic. I would do everything yourself if possible. If not, a respectable oil change place will be fine. Use a good 5w30.
