The best thing to do is call around to different Toyota dealerships in your area to see if they service Lexus automobiles.

The problem is I'm looking for a Toyota/Lexus dealership that is recommended by others b/c while I trust my salesman, I'm not sure if I trust my dealership to service my car...

Ahh i see, a lot of dealer service centers are pretty sleazy from my experience. I have had times when the service adviser did not even know what the heck i was talking about, and these guys were ASE certified. oh well. Good luck though.

i've brought my car in for an oil change to a toyota dealer.

got my 10k oil change at around 8,600 miles with my royal purple 5w-20.

charged me about $40 and I got to hang out with the dude that did it.

Real cool and kept everything clean as hell. (he used about 10 pairs of latex gloves. threw them out everytime they got dirty)

Just make sure they have your filter in stock.

I think they had a handful of them at the time I went in so I got lucky.

Others on this site weren't so lucky and had to call in for the filter.

Also, It's not about which dealer you go to, It's about getting the proper service instead of getting Stiffy, I mean Jiffy Lubed

So far I've gone to my local Toyota dealer for oil changes and to mount my new tires. No issues and much cheaper. All they do is keep the filter my car needs in stock. Family takes their Lexus there for minor services as well.

Yeah no joke! Same thing has happened with my service advisor(s) at my local Lexus dealership. I probably know more about servicing my car then they do.

Well that goes to show you that Toyota dealer sucks. Most certified Toyota techs are trained to work on both Toyota and Lexus vehicles. I've seen my Toyota dealership even service a Honda.

They didn't even have oil filters for the Lexus IS350. I asked them if they can program TPMS there and they said they didn't even have the data in their computers for a Lexus IS. They both told me "You have a Lexus take it to the Lexus dealer" I told them Lexus dealers charge an arm and a leg for service and they told me "Sorry" cant you help you there.

i was told by the salesman who sold me my IS that you can take the car into a toyota dealer for service. i guess it depends on the dealership.

San Francisco Toyota on Geary St (between 4th and 5th) services Lexis too. They charge like 35 bux for labor and filter (if you bring in your own oil). At least that's what they told me.

You can take it as long as the dealer is willing to do the work
